Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Appluex LLC, a Florida limited liability company doing business as “Appluex” (“Appluex”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, shares, and protects personal data when you visit appluex.com (the “Site”) or contact us. We act as the data controller for personal data collected through the Site. When we build software for clients, we typically act as a data processor on their behalf under a separate data-processing agreement.

1. Information we collect

  • Information you provide via our contact form: full name, email address, phone number, and the message/project details you submit.
  • Communications: records of your correspondence with us (email, calls).
  • Usage & device data collected automatically: IP address, browser/device type, pages viewed, referring URLs, and similar analytics data via cookies and similar technologies.

We do not intentionally collect sensitive categories of data, and we do not sell personal data.

2. How we use your information (purposes & legal bases)

  • Respond to inquiries and provide quotes/services. Basis: performance of a contract / taking steps at your request, and our legitimate interests.
  • Operate and improve the Site and understand usage. Basis: legitimate interests; analytics cookies set with your consent where required.
  • Security and fraud prevention. Basis: legitimate interests and legal obligations.
  • Comply with law and enforce our terms. Basis: legal obligation / legitimate interests.

(“Legal bases” above refer to the EU/UK GDPR for visitors in those regions.)

3. Cookies & analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies, including Google Analytics, to understand Site usage. Essential cookies are needed for the Site to function; analytics cookies are optional and, where required (e.g., in the EU/UK), set only with your consent. 4. How we share information (service providers / sub-processors)

We share personal data only as needed, with providers who process it on our behalf under contract. We describe them by the function they perform for us:

  • Cloud hosting and database infrastructure (United States). Running the Site and storing the data it holds.
  • Amazon Web Services (AWS). File and image storage, and delivery of transactional email such as our reply to your enquiry.
  • Cloudflare. Content delivery, DNS, and network security. Processes IP addresses and request metadata in transit.
  • Stripe. Payment processing for subscriptions and purchases. Card details are submitted directly to Stripe and are never stored on our systems.
  • Google (Analytics). Website analytics, set only with your consent where required.
  • Real-time video infrastructure. Audio and video processing, used only if you join a scheduled video meeting with us.
  • Embedded video. Some pages embed third-party video players, which load under their own privacy policies when you press play.

We may also disclose data to comply with law, enforce our agreements, or in connection with a merger or sale of assets. We do not sell or “share” personal data for cross-context behavioral advertising as defined under California law.

5. International data transfers

We are based in the United States, and your data may be processed there or in other countries. Where we transfer personal data from the EU/UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and supplementary measures as needed.

6. Data retention

We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes above. Typically 24 months after our last interaction for inquiry data, longer where required for legal, tax, or contractual reasons. Then delete or anonymize it.

7. Your privacy rights

EU/UK (GDPR): you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. You may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

California (CCPA/CPRA): you may request to know, access, correct, and delete your personal information, and to opt out of any “sale” or “sharing” (we do not sell or share as defined). We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

Canada (PIPEDA): you may access and request correction of your personal information.

8. Children's privacy

The Site is not directed to children under 13 (or the applicable age in your region), and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards. Including encryption in transit, access controls, and hardened infrastructure. To protect personal data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Third-party links

The Site may link to third-party sites we do not control. This Policy does not apply to them; review their privacy policies separately.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date reflects the current version; material changes will be highlighted on this page.
