App & software development in the USA
Big ideas deserve bold execution. We design, build, and scale custom mobile and web apps for startups and enterprises with national ambition. From a first MVP to products built to serve users from coast to coast.
The questions that decide a national engagement are usually not technical
By the time a company outside our region is comparing us to two or three other firms, the technical conversation is rarely what separates them. Everyone shortlisted can build the product. What actually decides it, and what tends to get discovered late and painfully, is the commercial and operational side: who owns the intellectual property and from what moment, how the contract handles scope change, what security posture the vendor can evidence, whether they can sign your paperwork without a month of negotiation, and who answers when something breaks at 4pm in your time zone rather than ours.
On ownership we take the least ambiguous position available. Intellectual property assigns to you from day one, not on final payment, and the repository, infrastructure configuration, domains, and store accounts are in your name throughout. We will sign your NDA, and we can work under your master services agreement rather than insisting on our own paper. This matters practically as well as legally: a client who cannot leave is a client we have stopped having to earn, and we would rather not build the business on that.
On scope, we quote a fixed price against a written specification rather than a range that drifts upward once the work is underway. When something genuinely new appears mid-project, and on a real project it usually does, it is handled as a written change with its own price and schedule impact, agreed before the work starts. The pattern we are deliberately avoiding is the one where a low initial quote wins the comparison and then reality is billed as a series of unavoidable additions.
On security and compliance, we would rather be precise than reassuring. We build with encryption in transit and at rest, role-based access control, audit logging, dependency scanning, and a security review before anything reaches production, and we have shipped products handling health-related and payment data. What we will not do is claim a certification we do not hold. If your procurement process requires a specific attestation, tell us early and we will tell you plainly whether we can meet it, work within your own certified infrastructure, or are the wrong fit for that requirement.
Intellectual property assigns to you from day one, not on final payment. If a vendor will not put that in writing, you have learned something worth knowing early.
Worth confirming in writing with every vendor you compare. Assignment on final payment is more common than it should be, and it quietly shapes every conversation until then.
What we build
Whatever the platform, one dedicated team takes your idea from the drawing board to a launched, supported product. Built to go the distance.
Native iOS & Android
Swift, Kotlin, and Objective-C apps tuned for the App Store and Google Play, polished for the performance and quality people expect.
Cross-platform apps
One Flutter or React Native codebase covering iOS and Android. Faster to ship, easier to maintain, and consistent on every device.
Web apps & SaaS
Scalable, SEO-ready web platforms and SaaS products on Next.js and React, built to convert and grow with your audience.
AI, cloud & APIs
AI features, real-time data, secure APIs, and AWS cloud infrastructure that keep your product fast, reliable, and ready to scale.

Why teams choose Appluex
Built to ship, not to sit
We measure success in launched products and real users. Not decks and demos. The goal is always a product in people's hands.
One team, end to end
The team that scopes your product designs and ships it. No handoffs, no lost context, one group accountable for the result.
A partner for the long haul
Launch is the starting line. We keep improving your product release after release as it grows with your audience.
How national clients usually begin
Almost nobody should commit a full build to a firm they have not worked with. These are graduated entry points.
Paid discovery or assessment
Evaluating vendors, or inheriting a codebase
A short engagement producing a specification and architecture, or an honest technical assessment of software you already own. The deliverable is yours regardless of who builds the next phase.
The lowest-risk way to see how a firm actually works.
Fixed-scope build
Requirements are settled
A defined product at a fixed price against a written specification, delivered in visible milestones with a demo environment throughout.
Change requests priced in writing, never absorbed silently.
Ongoing partnership
Live product, continuing roadmap
A continuing arrangement covering features, maintenance, infrastructure, and support during your working hours.
Most of our client relationships run for years.
We are headquartered in Miami, Florida, and work with clients across the United States, Canada, and Europe. Every engagement starts with a free consultation and a fixed written estimate.
App development in the USA. FAQ
Do you only work with companies in the USA?
No. We focus on the US market but also partner with clients in Canada and Europe. Wherever there's an ambitious product to build, we're in.
How much does it cost to build an app?
Every engagement is scoped individually. After a free consultation we provide a clear, fixed estimate based on your features, platforms, and timeline, so you know the investment before any work begins.
How long does it take to launch?
It depends on scope, but a polished MVP typically takes 8-16 weeks, with larger platforms running longer. We work in visible weekly milestones so you always know what's shipping next.
Can you build for iOS, Android, and web?
Yes. We deliver native iOS and Android apps, cross-platform apps from a single codebase, and web apps and SaaS platforms. And we'll recommend the right approach for your product and budget.
What happens after launch?
We stay on as your product partner. Monitoring, bug fixes, new features, and analytics-driven improvements so your app keeps growing.
Who owns the intellectual property?
You do, and from day one rather than on final payment. Source code, infrastructure configuration, domains, and app store and cloud accounts are in your name throughout the engagement. We will sign your NDA and can work under your own master services agreement instead of insisting on ours. This is worth confirming in writing with any vendor you are comparing, because arrangements where the agency retains ownership until some later trigger are more common than they should be.
Can you meet our security and compliance requirements?
We build with encryption in transit and at rest, role-based access control, audit logging, dependency scanning, and a security review before production, and we have shipped products handling health-related and payment data. What we will not do is claim a certification we do not hold. Tell us your specific requirement early and you will get a direct answer on whether we can meet it, whether we would build inside your own certified infrastructure, or whether we are the wrong fit.
How do you handle time zones?
We cover US business hours from Eastern time, which overlaps the entire country for a working day. You get a named contact rather than a rotating account manager, scheduled milestone calls, and a shared channel where questions get same-day answers. For West Coast clients that means morning questions are answered before your lunch rather than the following day.
What happens if the scope changes mid-project?
It gets handled as a written change order with its own price and schedule impact, agreed before any work on it begins. Real projects do surface genuinely new requirements, and we would rather price that transparently than absorb it silently and rush other work to compensate. What we deliberately avoid is the pattern where a low initial quote wins the comparison and the real cost arrives later as a series of unavoidable additions.
